The Cooke Veterinary Medical Center is hosting an open house fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association on Saturday, June 4 from 1 – 3:00 p.m.. You are invited to enjoy food, pet photos, a raffle and take a tour of the hospital. You can help by purchasing some raffle tickets or buy a T-shirt. The theme for this event is “Pets Helping People”! You may not know it, but Dogs get cognitive dysfunction too.
We are asking a $10 per person donation ($30 per family) to come have some fun, play with the doggies, get your pet photo taken (additional donation) and eat some food while socializing for charity! The Chesapeake Humane Society will be present with 2 senior pets looking for that special someone to adopt them. So please help us raise money and make this a success. Well mannered, leashed, and fully vaccinated dogs are welcome to visit and tour!
To pre-purchase your ticket make a donation to Denette Cooke here. You can purchase tickets at the door on the day of the event as well.
Invite your friends here on Facebook.

ABOUT THE LONGEST DAY
The Longest Day is a team event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association®. Held annually on the summer solstice, the duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. Teams are encouraged to create their own experience as they fundraise and participate in an activity they love to honor someone facing the disease.
