Thanks again to The Longest Day Teams

On June 21st, The Longest Day, teams across the country and around the world put their passion to work to support those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. They played cards, rode bikes, cooked, read, went horseback riding, and participated in many other activities. The Longest Day, held annually on summer solstice from sunrise to sunset, symbolizes the challenges those living with Alzheimer’s face every day. Teams not only helped raise awareness about Alzheimer’s but raised much-need dollars to support ongoing education and support.
Locally, we experienced amazing success! Our 24 teams raised a total of $17,877.00 to date! We’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our top teams:

Williamsburg, Unit 110 — $4,160.00
Hampton Roads Bridge — $2,560.00
Helen and Feldy’s Gang — $2,483.00
Tee-ing off for a cure — $1,725.00
Lambda Omega Chapter — $1,708.00
St. Timothy Lutheran Church Norfolk,VA — $1,460.00
Geri’s Kids and Friends — $1,100.00
AKA-LGO — $1,025.00

This phenomenal success would not have been possible without the dedication of our team captains, team members, and the families and friends who supported them. THANK YOU!

We’ll be doing this fun and exciting event again in 2016. Join us, won’t you? Watch for details!
