Erin Miller is the Volunteer Walk Chair for the Farmville Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. She is the Vice President of Philanthropic Service of Sigma Kappa Sorority at Longwood University. Erin is a senior at Longwood who came from Richmond. While the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is part of Sigma Kappa’s National Philanthropy, Erin has a personal passion for the cause because her grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2012 at the age of 89.
Why I Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Kimberly Phelps is using the skills her grandmother taught her to raise money for her South Hampton Roads Walk to End Alzheimer’s team. She is baking cupcakes in memory of her grandmother, Dorothy Jane Athey Nance, who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease.
