The Longest Day: Start an anywhere team!

You can live anywhere and participate in The Longest Day. Join with friends and family across the country — or even the world — and form a team that is active from multiple locations. We have tools to help you with scheduling your day and staying connected, even if you can’t be face to face on June 21.

Volunteer Spotlight: Joyce Tribble

Joyce Tribble walked into the Norfolk office one day in 2011 and asked if we ever needed volunteers in the office. Joyce’s husband, Sonny, had Alzheimer’s and had died a little more than a year before she came in. Joyce soon became a dependable weekly volunteer at the front desk, answering the phone, filing, putting together mailings, and performing other clerical duties with good humor and care.

The Longest Day – It’s all about love

The Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. are making it all about LOVE. They participated in various activities from sunrise to sunset to increase awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and raised over $2,600 supporting programming and research to #ENDALZ.

Team up with Alpha Kappa Alpha for The Longest Day

On The Longest Day let’s do what we love for all those we love affected by Alzheimer’s. Join AKA as we raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. Across the nation, we’ll do activities to honor caregivers, those living with the disease and those we’ve lost.
